Stewardship

CHS is committed to educating students of all ages, creating stronger ag career pathways and better serving cooperative communities through Stewardship funding and initiatives. The CHS Foundation builds ag career pathways and educates rural youth by supporting cooperative and safety education, university partnerships and ag leadership programs. CHS community giving serves cooperative communities through support of cooperative matching grants, Twin Cities projects, and employee giving and volunteerism.

CHS employees give back

Each year, CHS employees live out the core value of cooperative spirit through employee giving and volunteerism. CHS gives full-time of employees 16 hours of paid time off to volunteer in their communities and matches contributions to nonprofits with one dollar for every dollar donated. In 2023, employees volunteered more than 23,000 hours and raised nearly $1.3 million for 740 charities in 15 states.

CHS Days of Service was started in 2012. In fiscal year 2022, CHS employees contributed 21,800 hours of service. Each full-time employee receives 16 volunteer hours. Each part-time employee receives 8 volunteer hours.
